Passive strategy

I have written about aggressive strategy/style and because of this I need to tell you about passive strategy which is opposite to aggressive. As it is called, it is a tactic, when you try to avoid risky situation. Of course texas holdem poker is very specific game and we never can be sure that some hand is not risky, but you can more or less predict how other players will play some hand. When you are playing with passive strategy, you can`t play on the latest streets if you have chances to lose (even if now you are in quite good situation). Of course you need to deal with fact, that if you will choose a passive strategy, your income will be much smaller. Winnings will be less frequent and much smaller, but the “expensive” will be also smaller than they are in aggressive game. So for who this passive strategy is? Mostly for people which likes slowly, quite and much more static game, for people with weak nerves and of course for new texas hold-em players, which are just starting to knowing this fascination poker world. Because of passive strategy they can watch a lot of hands and just analyzing and learn from it. The most important is that you can learn much more by playing (especially in poker heads-up) and getting experience, than from poker books or guides. After you will get a lot of experienced from thousand of hands, you can say that you are good poker player and can go on higher level.
